This was their closing track tonight. Kind of gives me vibes of “Wild Wild West/I Wish” but sounds epic live and in headphones…. wherever. Anywho… Neon Indian is a very pulsate-y band. I figured this out in the way my (and everyone else’s) body compulsively moved during their set. This all made them a cool opener for the more driving Phoenix where my compulsion was more jumpy and gleeful.

Next couple of posts will be from my top ten most played songs on iTunes. There was a solid 2 months where I couldn’t fall asleep without first listening to this song. The album Either/Or is just so full of lo-fi, emotive goodness that I cant help but go through a plethora of feelings and states of mind while listening through it. This song always put me in a place where I was most comfortable and sleep. Jah knows why.

I just realized that my love of hip-hop is severely underrepresented on this blog. This was one of the songs that opened my eyes to rap/hip-hop/whatever after my early music listening years. Those formative years in which I stopped ignoring anything outside of my punk/metal/classic rock comfort zone . Not to say I don’t l pay attention to or love those genres anymore, they just have to share with the other music. Just like a first born and new kid sister. <end rant>
